Since I've tried fixing them repeatedly and keep hitting the same snag, simply consider them as a 'dry' blood effect for the time being. Hand and foot prints don't seem to reflect light properly to simulate a 'wet'/'fresh' blood effect like the rest of the blood effects, and I'm honestly not sure why.
